I was recently quite amazed to see that my phone carrier was still offering the Nokia E65 as a free phone if I would like to subscribe for another two more years with them. This made me wonder how old each of your phones are?
Also if you are finding the tips on this website useful and you are currently using another Nokia phone, please let me know what phone you are using. It will take less than 30 seconds to do this, can you imagine how many hours this blog has taken to put together? Contribute and make Mye65 a better place :)

E65 here, I got it about Feb 2008 I think.
ReplyDeleteSeptember 2006
ReplyDeleteI bought a used one in July 08, lost it in October and got another one in December. I don't think I'd stay with Nokia for my next phone. It's losing me on the audio platform.
ReplyDeleteMine is coming on for 2 years now (August 2007). My wife's is just over a year old.
ReplyDeleteDec 2007 - hanging for July when the provider will let me upgrade for free - possibly to an iPhone.
ReplyDeleteiphone hardly counts as an upgrade.. hehe
ReplyDeleteGot mine in March 2008. Out of contract now and looking at the e52.
ReplyDeleteoops was actually March 2007
ReplyDeleteI have the first one that came out, april 2007. So more then 2 years old now. Will probably keep it for an other year.
ReplyDeleteI'm now using an E71 and have been since Jan09. But i was a previous E65 user from July 07 till Jan 09.
ReplyDeleteHad an E65 for 16 months...then it fell. Now I have one that is 2 weeks old (hope to keep it for years and years!)
ReplyDeleteHad an E71 (bad signal problems so I sold it), then an N82 (rubbish battery life so I sold it), then a 6111 (no features so I sold it). A week ago I bought an E65. Love it, no problems so far, signal fantastic, reception fantastic, features fantastic, slider handset fantastic, battery fantastic. An awesome phone. Wish I had gotten one instead of my E71 and saved all the messing about.
ReplyDeleteJuly 2007, has worked very well so far.
ReplyDeleteUsed to crash randomly with the originaly firmware, upgraded it, has only crashed once since then, looking at getting the E71 next.
Mine something over two years old. Had to put it 'down' due to problems with the radio interface. Bought a N97 - gave it back, currently having a HTC Touch - and will give it back and return to the E65. Still the best. I would actually go for the E75, but since Nokia tossed Blackberry Connect, the E65 is the only way to go for me.
ReplyDeleteMy E65 is over 2 years old now and apart from some minor scratches on the case from dropping it, it is still going strong. I use the WiFi a lot in the house to check emails and news(and on the go if I can connect to something) and just love the way Nokia designed it, small but very effective. About 3 months ago I replaced the original screen protector (!) with a new one because of the scratches, but other than that, no problems what so ever (after upgrading to a new firmware because my battery kept running low all the time).
ReplyDeleteGood luck with this blog!
I was using an n95 but it wasn't perfomin well. Poor battery life. The problem i have now is my phone cannot install .sis files. Its saying not supported. Please help.
