Just released! New Nokia PC Suite 6.86.9.0

Nokia seems to have been working hard to come up with yet another update to the Nokia PC Suite, your computer's connection to your Nokia E65. This software update which is now available here enables you to:

• View your mobile device's calendar in the main window
• Delete and reply to text messages in the main window
• Experience the fresh appearance of applications

This is on top of the new feature released earlier which now shows your most recent SMS messages on a side bar which allows you to click on the recent messages, read it and then reply using your PC keywboard.. a much faster way of texting your friends, family or colleagues. Now you can make the most of those unlimited SMS that some phone operators are now offering.

The Calendar option only allows you to view the calendar. You cannot yet add a new calendar entry from your computer which is probably the next version up when they get around to it. For now, the best thing to do with your calendar is to sync it with Microsoft Outloook and Google Calendar!

Google Mobile Maps - Why you must have it

Anyone with a Nokia E65 should install Google Maps and show their Nokia N95 friends that we can have a smaller, lighter, better looking phone and still:

1. Find out where the nearby restaurants, banks, shops
2. Find out roughly where you are
3. Get directions to and from a certain place
4. Figure out how long your road trip is going to take
5. See what the Sydney Opera House looks like from a bird's eye view

9 things you can do to get organised with your Nokia Calendar

Here are 9 things you can do with your Nokia Calendar that you may (or may not) have thought of already:

1. Recurring reminders for things that need to be done the same time once a month or once a year (eg pay credit cards, check tyre pressure, visit dentist etc )
2. Recurring reminder of goals you have for the year or things you would like to think about at a later date.
3. Remind yourself to bring something with you, setting the alarm to go off at the time that you would be leaving the house.
4. Record memorable events that have already passed
5. Send a fellow Nokia user a calendar entry
6. Send a fellow Nokia user a calendar reminder (alarm time for calendar will also be sent)
7. Upload your mobile phone calendar entries to your google calendar
8. Print out your mobile phone calendar entries once uploaded to your google calendar
9. Set multiple "meetings" with alarms if you need to get up but might turn off the alarm and snooze.
