Sorry, I don't have the answer for this question but after some aimless google searches, I decided to see if you all have an answer to this pertinent question. After using the program SMSDiary and finding its interface exceptionally useful, an idea came to mind. I would like to see if its possible to output the phone display onto the computer directly. This way, as text messages come through, they will appear immediately on the phone screen without needing to open the inbox. This can be useful if you use the phone to receive information from various sources. If it is possible for this to be outputted onto a computer screen, it could then be projected for example on a wall and people can see the texts as they come through.
Anyway, if you have an idea how the phone display can be outputted onto the computer screen (no, PC Suite does not do this) please reply to this post. Appreciate your help. Happy New Year to you all! Also let us know how your phone served your New Years Eve needs :)

When New Isn't Better - Nokia E65 Firmware 4.0633.74.0
There have been many comments on the Nokia Discussion board about the new firmware offering for the Nokia E65 4.0633.74.0 which have left this author a little concerned about whether or not to upgrade.
The improved featers in 4.0633.74.0 are:
- Security- Improvements to platform security
- VOIP- Interoperability improvements with Avaya server
- WLAN
- Improvements to EAP-PEAP settings
- Improvements to roaming - Other Updates- Operator name database updated, Operator settings database updated, Time zones update for Venezuela, Slovenian character encoding improvements
Problems that have been mentioned in the forums associated with 4.0633.74.0 include:
- Backlight of the numeric keypad no longer works- Annoying popup message on top of standby screen with ‘Show’ and ‘Exit’ options
- Significant battery drain
- Lost contacts (but this can be fixed by downloading this Nokia Contact Transfer)
I've decided not to upgrade my firmware as the risk doesnt seem to counter the potential problems.
It will be interesting to hear from you all whether:
1. You have decided to upgrade
2. Whether you notice any worthwhile changes not mentioned above

Sometimes its just a matter of minimizing screens
Now this problem may only be related to Nokia PC Suite 7.1.18.0
I have a problem sometimes when I disconnect the phone from the USB cable and when I connect it back again, the PC Suite does not recognise that the connection has been established. The phone (bless his heart) realises that PC Suite has been activated, but the computer doesn't. When I open the PC Suite, it doesn't show that there is a connection.
Guess what the solution is? Minimise all your windows with *WINDOWS BUTTON*+M and you will see a little dialog box that is causing all your problems... looks a little like this:
Once you click the tick, the connection resumes normally. It could be related to the Nokia Communication manager 2.0 which has been trying to install a Group DS application on my phone without any success.. if anyone has any ideas to add to this, please leave a comment. I hope that this post has helped someone anyway.
