SECRET Codes for Nokia E65 (and other Nokias)

You found it! It's not a hack but here are some secret codes for Nokia E65 which also work for other nokia phones. Ever since I had my first nokia, I was always keen to find out the secret codes. It seems many have remained the same since the Nokia 5110.

*#06# - As mentioned in the stolen phone post, this is used to show you your Nokia E65 serial number of IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identifier) as they call it in the mobile world.

*#92702689# (*#war0anty#) - This will show you the "Life Timer" of your phone, i.e. the total time you have spent on phone calls (in minutes). eg "Life Timer: 46:40"

*#0000# - This will show you the software version, the date when the software was built and the phone model. If you have software version 2.0633.65.01 you are up to date. If not, go here to find out how to update your phone firmware.

*#2820# (*#BTA0#) - This will display the Bluetooth device address for your Nokia E65.

*#62209526# (*#MAC0WLAN) - This will show you the MAC address of the WLAN adapter. Find out more about WIFI on the Nokia E65 here and locations for accessing free wifi in Australia.


Finally.. don't do this one just to try it out - it will wipe everything off your phone!

*#7370# (*#RES0#) - This will reset your phone to factory default settings. Only do this in the event of an emergency (can't think of one right now) and you don't mind losing all your customizing, which, if you are following this blog, could be quite a lot! The default security code if asked is12345.

    there is another good one that i guess most of u might already know..
    which is useful when u r entering an area where the cost of gprs(EDGE) facility increases..

    and normally even if u close opera or any of ur fav browser quickly.. the E sign will remain showing that connection exists.. or sometimes u only want to close the connection and not the browser.

    in that case.. at the standby screen (at the wallpaper screen) just hold the end key (the only red button) for a few secs.. the phone will then ask u if u want to close the active connection.. and immediately u can cut off any data connection.. now thats cool right???

    this works for any kind of data connection...

    Another hint if you type sms using the letter "E' " or è (like in Italian or Spanish). WATCH OUT! Nokia will let you spend much more money if you select this letter retrieving it from the software's dictionary.
    If you look at the numbers of letters left (top of sms) as soon as you type a è your message will almost become a double sms. SOLUTION: type E or e without accent and add the accent as a simbol (new letter). You'll save a lot of money in a year.

    hi any ideas of how to recovery the E65 after a failed firmware update already try holding down the green key (star key) and number 3 at same time tit phone power up !!
    the phone itself only come on to nokia !! not the hands icon

    hello' i ve a problem with mt phone, nokia e65 , sometimes it goes off, without coming, and it will write offline, that means the that means it works no more,i need help to switch online my phone back

    My E65 is displaying a lock code,what will i do? because i have put the right code but its not working except i remove the battery and restart the phone whith out my sim card to overwrite d lock process, before i can put my sim back inside d phone and it stop displaying lock code. please help me abeylicso4musu@gmail.com

    Salut colegi am o problema cu telefonul ALLVIEW T1 VISION DUAL SIM ami da eroare cand vrau sa ma connectez la net sau cand dau sa instalez opera mini . am incercat sa iau si
    sa instalez opera mini.jar sau java si nu poate din cauza ca nu se poate connecta la internet defapt are Wap si as vrea sal resetez si daca se pote sa instalez si soft nou pt inceput stie careva codul de resetare din fabrica ?

    Hi! Desperately need your help pls? Someone has lent me their phone with almost 300 messages in the inbox & over 200 contacts. I managed to delete the contacts but the only way to delete the messages is either to do this one by one (not an option!) or to restore the phone to fact settings.. I entered your shortcut option as mentioned on the site *#7370# and get asked a "lock code" - if I enter 12345 I get a message saying lock code entered incorrectly 5 times - code will unblock in 5 mins... but then nothing happens... please help? thanks!!!
